When Fourth Element was designing the 'Xenos', they sought inspiration outside the scuba diving world, and looked at other sports that also use wetsuits.

The Xenos wetsuit line has been developed for the discerning diver who needs an easy-to-don wetsuit that performs well and looks great.

The British manufacturer noted and liked the fast transition features of triathlon suits. This influence and fresh thinking has resulted in a wetsuit made from stretch 7mm neoprene, that is has been made "as easy as possible to get on and off". Apparently this is achieved by cut away ankles, and smooth linings in the arms and legs.

A number of features have been employed to tackle water flushing. Fourth Element states that the suit should fit well, and hug the body, thereby minimising water flushing through the suit. Water ingress is also controlled sealing surfaces have been improved - internal ankle seals and Glideskin wrist seals have been fitted. The neck closure features a snag-free hook and loop, whilst the seams are double glued and blind-stitched.

Other features include a 'Thermoflex' torso lining and hardwearing Supratex lined knee panels, for tough, yet comfortable knee protection.

We recommend this combination for water temperatures from 12°C / 53°F - 22°C / 71°F. Fourth Element

Fourth Element has said that if this suit is dived with the hooded vest, then the body core is protected by 10mm, and it should make it a good suit for cooler temperatures.
