Each OWUSS Rolex Scholar is given a Rolex Watch
Each year, a Rolex scholar is selected from North America, Europe and Australasia and they get to work with leaders in marine-related fields. The scholars spend a year travelling around the globe, gaining invaluable hands-on experiences in various aspects of diving. These can include scientific, media, biology, hyperbaric medicine, tourism, journalism, dive management, education and publishing.

If you are aged between 21 and 26 at the time of the application deadline (15 January 2020 for all regions) and you meet all the necessary criteria, you can apply.

The Scholarships are primarily funded by donations from Rolex Watch USA and Rolex-Geneva
Scholarship Requirements
Amongst other things, the scholarship applicants are required to submit the following information within the online application:
- A copy of their dive scuba diving certification card(s)
- A copy of the last six months' dive logs
- A completed medical form signed by a licensed physician
- Four letters of recommendation
These scholarships and internships are highly prized and life changing, because of the opportunities and doors that are opened to the successful candidates.
