Inform 'HQ' in a timely manner if you are going to be unavailable or unable to provide any or much assistance as regards the upcoming publication cycle. Only that way do we stand a decent chance to plan around it and assign needed tasks to somebody else.
How far down the ladder are you able to contribute this publication cycle?
- I won't be available at all or able to provide much assistance this time around.
- Keeping an eye on the flow of news in the field/section subject matter and collecting the news-worthy ones for possible posting.
- Sorting, curating and prioritising which of the collected news should be
- posted on our website on short notice
- and/or kept for the magazine.
- Making an occasional post on the website.
- Writing and posting 2-4 posts on the website of enough substance and pertinence to qualify also for a magazine news item.
- Writing a short article for the magazine (1-2 pages). Or a commentary.
- Writing several short articles or one main one (3 pages or more).
