With Covid-19 restrictions easing, divers can now access the latest information about diving accessibility and restrictions in a particular country with the click of a mouse. PADI has created an interactive world map utilizing the most up-to-date information from each PADI dive center.

The objective of the program is to build confidence, independence and self-esteem in the lives of children, adults and veterans with disabilities through the sport of scuba diving, scuba therapy and related activities.

The purpose of the program is to provide and support educational scuba diving programs with PADI courses—such as the PADI Seal Team, PADI Junior Open Water and the Open Water Diver course—that are open to any child, adult or veteran with a disability, with the hope of providing both physical and psychological therapeutic value to that person.

PADI has been tracking certifications and will announce the winner after this goal has been reached. A countdown counter has launched on the PADI website that provides daily updates as the organization approaches this achievement, which they expect to reach by late September.

The diver to receive PADI's 20 millionth certification will win an all-expenses paid trip for two to explore natural wonder of the world, the Great Barrier Reef, and other local attractions such as the World Heritage listed Daintree Rainforest, courtesy of Tourism Queensland.

The Cayman Islands Tourism Association has announced the 'Invasive Lionfish Tracker', a PADI Distinctive Specialty course available to both residents and visitors. The one-day program aims to educate divers about the invasive predator with essential lionfish facts and their invasion of Caribbean and north-western Atlantic. The course explains why immediate action is essential to control the population and describes a practical way to safely and humanely capture and euthanize the fish.
