Branding Videos & Digital Media Marketing

Social media and influencer promotion is becoming a larger part of the digital marketing mix each year.

Branding videos, sponsored posts, social media marketing... confused? We interviewed digital media marketing consultant and underwater photographer Brent Durand to get the scoop on what these services are and how they can benefit your dive business and increase your sales.

Insta360 ONE X2

Insta360 ONE X2

While the ONE X2 is waterproof to 10m, a dive depth of 45m can be reached by using an option-al dive case. It features stabilized 5.7K
360-degree video recording, updated FlowState image stabilization technology, and a special underwater shooting mode called “AquaVision,” which automatically balances color. The camera supports both HDR photo and video. It is able to capture and merge multiple images to increase
dynamic range, as well as reduce noise and maintain detail when shooting in low-light situations.

Anglerfish 4K Underwater HDMI Field Monitor

It features a 5.7in IPS Screen, full 4K resolution, a brightness of 550cd/m≤, 1400:1 contrast,
support of 1920x1080 (HD) and 4K input, and customizable menu colours. Each model gets colour-calibrated before shipping. The monitor is powered by a Sony NP-F750 (4-cell, 7.2V rechargeable) lithium-ion battery pack, which allows a run-time of approximately four hours. By using a special 50Wh battery pack, the runtime can be extended up to 6.25 hours.

Kraken Sports Solar Flare Mini

A COB LED gives it a warm colour temperature and a smooth, even beam with no hot spots. With its dimensions of 8 x 6 x 4in and a weight of 3lb, it is designed for professionals who need powerful yet compact lighting systems. The Solar Flare Mini is flood-resistant with a vacuum-sealed battery compartment, head/lamp and battery compartments are completely isolated from each other.
The video light is prepared for remote controls, which are available as additional accessories.

Chasing Gladius Mini Underwater Drone

The built-in 5000 mAh rechargeable battery supports a runtime of two hours. Two built-in LED lights of 1200 lumens each add a little light to underwater scenes.
The ROV is connected to its surface base station by a tether cable; all operations of the vehicle can then be controlled by a smartphone or tablet, which connects to the base station via WiFi (with a maximum range of 10m).

Geneinno Titan Underwater Drone

The Titan underwater drone made by Geneinno is equipped with a 1/2.5-inch CMOS sensor to capture 8MP still photos and 4K video (with a fixed lens angle of 160°), and it can also stream a 1080p live view to the handheld controller. Two 1500-lumen lights help to bring light into the depths.

Its 9000mAh, 10.8-volt battery delivers a runtime of four hours per charge. The Titan can operate at depths up to 150m (492ft). Its maximum speed is 2m per second. Six controllable thrusters allow easy control of the drone. The Titan dimensions are 390 x 347 x 165mm and it weighs 4.4kg.

Aquatica Monitor 5HD

If so, rescue may be at hand in the shape of Aquatica’s external monitors, which provide a Full HD 1920x1080 resolution. The monitor supports focus peaking and false colour to assist in focusing and proper exposure. The colour temperature is adjustable. The sunshade can easily be detached without the use of tools. The monitor is compatible with housings from other manufacturers using a 16mm bulkhead. The aluminum housing is depth-rated to 100m.

KELDAN Remote control

The principle is similar to the remote flash triggers, which are frequently used in photo studios, wherein the controller is mounted in the camera’s hot-shoe and used to balance various remote flashes placed elsewhere. In the same manner, this unit also controls the output of each video light separately. The two lower dials—one for each light—simply turn the power up and down. The main difference from the studio flash controllers is that this unit controls video lights and wirelessly connects to them using ultrasound rather than radio waves.
