47th Annual Oceans Exposition, Dive and Adventure Travel Show

Recently, some of our clients have informed us that they have been told Beneath the Sea will not be hosting an exposition this year. Should you get such a phone call, or hear such a rumor, that Beneath the Sea will not be in place for its 47th season, it’s only our  competition taking pot-shots at us.

For the past 46 years, Beneath the Sea has provided the local dive community with the best in diving education, the latest equipment, and intimate travel information from dive resorts around the world.

SeaLife

SeaLife Underwater Cameras are designed and created by Pioneer Research in Moorestown, NJ and were first introduced in 1993. In 2000, SeaLife developed the world’s first digital underwater camera.

In 2007, SeaLife developed the first non-housing digital underwater camera, and in 2013 SeaLife introduced the Sea Dragon underwater lighting system and its innovative Flex-Connect tray, grip, arm, and mounting accessories.

Is New York Bight now a supplementary feeding site for baleen whales?

An increased presence of baleen whale species has been observed in the waters off New York and New Jersey, suggesting that they may be using the area as a supplementary feeding ground.

In boat surveys conducted from 2017 to 2019, scientists from the Wildlife Conservation Society (WCS) and Columbia University observed humpback, fin and minke whales foraging in the New York Bight. A paper on their findings was published in the Marine Biology Research journal.

BTS Announces 2016 'Divers of the Year' Awards

This year the annual New Jersey scuba diving show celebrates a major milestone. It was founded in 1976, making this the 40th year BTS has recognised divers in the fields of the arts, education, environment, service and science.
