Call for entries: Lens Beyond Ocean photo competition

Indeed, this year’s prizes worth US$25,000 do not disappoint, comprising dive travel packages to some of the best locations in Asia as well as top-of-the-line dive equipment and underwater camera gear. Judges of this year’s competition include renowned underwater photographers Tobias Friedrich of Germany, Jason Isley of the United Kingdom and Nurul Yazid of Malaysia.

The deadline to enter is 15 May 2020.

Enter NUPG's 'Splash-In Underwater Photography Competition'

The competition will commence at 07:00 and close at 22:00. All images must be taken on the day.

All underwater photographers are welcome to join in the fun whilst diving the Anglesey or North Wales coastline. You can shore dive or boat dive. The choice is yours. It doesn't matter if you have just got your first compact camera and are starting to take photos, or you are a seasoned diver with a beautiful SLR, the NUPG would love to see your photos.

Last call for MyShot Underwater Photo Contest 2013

The contest features both macro and wide-angle categories for compact and SLR (interchangeable lens) users.

MyShot is an online underwater photo competition. Photographers can submit their images until the 31 October 2013 deadline and the registration is free. The jury will decide the winners of the categories and there’ll be a public vote as well for a selection of 100 pictures (25 each category). A final party will close the contest.

Israel: Journey Beyond the Three Seas

On my first flight to Israel, I stretched out in a comfortable chair on EL AL Airlines, enjoyed a kosher meal and reread notes by the famous Russian traveller and pioneer explorer, Afanasiy Nikitin (circa 1466-1472). Only on the approach to Tel Aviv did I suddenly realize how small a country Israel was, and that it bordered three seas.
