Barb Roy learned to dive in Anchorage, Alaska, acquiring her PADI Master Instructor rating and has enjoyed cold water diving for over 30 years. She currently works as a freelance outdoor adventure writer and photographer specializing in dive travel around the world. Her work has appeared in various international and local print magazines, books and Internet publications, and is widely used to promote eco-friendly diving in British Columbia. As a Trimix diver and a NAUI Underwater Dive Instructor, Barb enjoys giving presentations about her many adventures to various dive clubs, museums and schools. She has worked with the Dive Industry Association of British Columbia as Director; the Maritime Documentation Society as Director; the Technical Dive Training Facility at Adventures Down Under; and is now running her own dive travel business specializing in photography and videography at Orca Oceanic Diving & Photography.
