1st Arabia and Fira Barcelona have announced the launch of ABOFA – Aqaba Blue Ocean: Future in Action, an international blue-economy event taking place 9–12 September 2026 at the Aqaba International Exhibition Center (AIEC) in Aqaba, Jordan.
Organised with the Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC), the show aims to become a regional meeting point for the diving, marine technology and coastal lifestyle sectors, supporting efforts to position Aqaba as a hub for the blue economy.
ABOFA will cover diving equipment, ocean technology and marine sciences, watersports and boating, as well as dive destinations and adventure tourism. The exhibition will bring together international brands, experts and innovators, featuring live demonstrations, interactive experiences and networking opportunities for both trade and public visitors.
The event will highlight new technologies and business opportunities while also promoting sustainable development and Jordan’s marine conservation initiatives. Its organisers say the show is intended to connect tourism, environment and technology industries and encourage investment in the sector.
The announcement follows an agreement appointing 1st Arabia and Fira Barcelona as organisers, combining international exhibition experience with regional expertise.
