Spyderco Introduces the Snap-It Salt Knife

Posted in:

Spyderco’s original Snap-It was an innovative cutting tool that traded our signature pocket clip for a snap shackle with a spring closure. This award-winning design was extremely popular with climbers and tradesmen because the shackle allowed the knife to be suspended from a carabiner, D-ring, or similar platform for immediate access.

Although the original version was discontinued a number of years ago, based on popular demand it is now back and better than ever. The Snap-It Salt combines all the defining features of the first-generation design with a blade crafted from 100% rustproof H-1® steel. This extraordinary nitrogen-based, work-hardening alloy is not only completely immune to corrosion, but when ground to create a knife blade develops differential hardness that ensures a sharp, long-wearing edge and a tough, springy spine.

Available with either a PlainEdge™ or fully serrated SpyderEdge™ blade, the Snap-It Salt features a tough fiberglass-reinforced-nylon (FRN) handle injection molded in the distinctive high-visibility yellow color exclusive to Spyderco’s Salt Series. To ensure a secure grip, even when wet, the handle includes textured black Kraton® rubber insert panels. A sturdy back lock mechanism locks the blade securely when open and, like all the knife’s other metal hardware, is also completely immune to corrosion.

C26YL Snap-It Salt MSRP $134.95
