Compact underwater navigation system with wrist display and body‑worn sensor.
Reef Track Navigator
The Reef Track RT1 is a dive navigation system that guides divers underwater via a wearable wrist unit and an immobile sensor module. The system comprises a robust wrist display that presents real‑time orientation, distance travelled, and route information, and an inertial measurement unit (IMU) sensor that attaches to the diver’s vest or harness to track movement and heading. Rated to 100 m water depth, the wrist unit features a 2.8‑inch high‑contrast display optimised for visibility in low‑light and deep‑water environments.
The unit operates for up to 10 hours of dive time (or up to 7 days of standby) on a full charge.
The IMU sensor embeds marine‑grade aluminium housing and offers Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity for trip syncing and firmware updates. Additional features include glove‑friendly buttons, a durable silicone wrist strap, and waypoint or entrance‑mark functions that let divers record their entry point and navigate back safely.
The RT1 is intended for technical or exploration divers, underwater photographers and survey teams who need intuitive navigation support beneath the surface rather than relying solely on compasses or manual timing. By combining a body‑worn sensor with a wrist interface, the system meets the diver’s need for situational awareness, route memory and ease of use during complex dives.
