The Oceanic Photon BC is a back-inflation buoyancy control device designed to provide a balance of streamlined underwater performance and practical surface handling. Its rear-mounted air cell promotes a horizontal trim position in the water, reducing drag and supporting efficient movement during the dive.
The harness system combines a rigid backplate structure with adjustable shoulder, waist and sternum straps, allowing the fit to be tailored to different body types and exposure suits. Padding in key areas enhances comfort during extended dives, while the overall structure distributes weight evenly across the diver’s torso.
Integrated weight pockets provide a secure way to carry ballast, with a quick-release mechanism for controlled ditching when required. Additional trim weight pockets help fine-tune buoyancy and balance. Multiple D-rings and attachment points provide flexibility for carrying accessories such as reels, torches or surface markers.
The Photon BC includes a standard inflator system with ergonomic controls and multiple dump valves positioned for efficient air release in different orientations. The outer bladder material is designed for durability and abrasion resistance, supporting repeated use in a variety of environments.
