Full-face mask enabling natural breathing and integrated communication options
Northern Diver International's Odyssey Full Face Mask, now ships with Miflex hoses fitted as standard.
The N Diver Odyssey full-face mask is designed to provide an alternative to traditional half-mask and regulator setups by allowing the diver to breathe naturally through both nose and mouth. This configuration can improve comfort, particularly during longer dives, training scenarios or cold-water conditions where facial exposure is a concern.
The mask incorporates a sealed oral–nasal chamber that directs airflow efficiently and helps reduce carbon dioxide build-up. A wide visor provides an extended field of view compared to standard masks, supporting situational awareness underwater. The design also reduces jaw fatigue, as the diver is not required to hold a second-stage regulator in the mouth.
A key feature of the Odyssey mask is its compatibility with integrated communication systems, enabling voice communication between divers or with the surface when equipped with the appropriate modules. This makes it suitable for professional applications such as training, public safety diving or underwater work, where communication is important.
The mask includes a multi-point harness system for secure fit and quick donning and removal. Materials are selected for durability and resistance to cold water, and the design supports use with gloves and thicker exposure protection.
The Odyssey full-face mask is aimed at divers seeking increased comfort, improved facial protection and the option for communication. It is suited to both recreational users looking for a different breathing experience and professional divers requiring additional functionality.
