The Long Island Divers Association (LIDA) is announcing its annual Film Festival, scheduled for Friday, January 8, 2016 at 8pm on the campus of Hofstra University, located in Hempstead, New York.

The Film Festival is an annual fundraising event for LIDA and features an exciting slate of world-renowned speakers, filmmakers and photographers. Appearing this year will be Tom McCarthy, Larry Cohen and Olga Torrey, Michel Lebrecque and Julie Ouimet, Michael Salvarezza and Christopher Weaver, and Rick Morris. This two-hour program is the highlight of the diving season on Long Island.

Following the Film Festival will be a fun and entertaining “after party”, featuring food and refreshments, musical entertainment and a host of raffle prizes, including trips on an Aggressor Liveaboard and a complementary week’s worth of diving and accommodations at the Marco Vincent Dive Resort in Puerto Galera, Philippines. In addition, attendees have the opportunity to win prizes from a wide variety of dive equipment manufacturers, dive shops and local dive boats.
