The Long Island Divers Association (LIDA) will return on Saturday, October 25, 2025 to host its 37th Annual Film Festival.
The Long Island Diver’s Association is a not-for-profit regional organization dedicated to the promotion of local diving, the representation of divers interests throughout the diving and general community, and the protection of divers rights through outreach to our local and regional government officials.
Member dues, donations and the proceeds from its annual Film Festival fundraiser fund LIDA which is staffed completely by volunteer members. For more information, visit lidaonline.com.
We will once again be holding this event on the campus of Hofstra University. And in keeping with the spirit of the season, there may even be a few Halloween-themed surprises!
This year’s event will feature a slate of great speakers and accomplished photographers and videographers who will present their incredible work highlighting adventures under the sea.
In addition, we will again be hosting our very popular after show party, complete with a sumptuous food and refreshments. All this, plus exciting and valuable raffle prizes, will make the evening a must-attend for all SCUBA Divers, Freedivers, Snorkelers and anyone interested in exploring our underwater world!
LIDA’s Annual Film Festival is designed to provide an evening of stellar entertainment followed by a party where all members of our community can gather to share stories of the dive season that has passed and to begin planning adventures for the year ahead.
We will be hosting this event at a new time!
Our Film Festival will begin at 4:00 p.m. with the after party following from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
