Press Release

Halcyon Dive Systems is pleased to announce that the Symbios Chest Mount Rebreather will expand global availability by mid-March, marking the next phase in its rollout to divers worldwide.

The Symbios CCR has been available only in limited release during the development of an instructional platform and larger-scale production. During this period, the system was placed with select instructors, explorers, and early adopters to support structured training development, field validation, and real-world operational feedback.

With deliveries increasing in mid-March, Symbios CCR will now be produced at full production capacity.

Engineered for Performance and Integration

The Halcyon Symbios rebreather is a compact, chest-mounted, closed-circuit system with pioneering technology and industry-leading performance in a small,  streamlined package.

Key features include:

●      Hybrid oxygen measurement, combining galvanic and solid-state digital sensors

●      Patented, chest-mounted ADV/BOV regulator allowing quick access to open circuit while maintaining a small, lightweight mouthpiece

●      Wireless communication with Symbios handsets and HUDs

●      Fully-integrated bailout architecture

●      Axial scrubber with a large cross-section and short bed length, providing strong performance and very low work of breathing

Weighing approximately 7.5 kg/15.4 lb in travel configuration and under 11 kg/24.3 lb fully assembled and ready to dive, the unit was designed to support portability while maintaining exceptional capability.

The Halcyon Symbios mobile app serves as a central interface within the ecosystem. Divers can configure system settings, manage gas profiles, access integrated checklists, and review detailed dive logs via the app. Designed as a seamless extension of the Symbios Rebreather, Handset, and HUD computers, the mobile interface marries system management and dive data in a single platform.

Expanding Global Training Support

Training support for the Symbios platform continues to expand.

Instructor programs are already active through IANTD, TDI, and GUE. Programs with SSI and PADI are currently in development, reflecting engagement across major training organizations.

Instructors interested in teaching the Symbios rebreather are invited to submit their interest.

Moving into Its Next Phase

The transition from limited to wide availability reflects a deliberate approach to introducing this revolutionary CCR platform. With deliveries increasing in mid-March, Symbios enters the next phase of development and will become available to divers worldwide.
