Halcyon has introduced the Symbios TriSense, a compact handheld gas analyser designed to measure oxygen, helium and carbon monoxide in breathing gas mixtures. The unit was shown publicly at both the DEMA Show and boot Düsseldorf, where it attracted attention for its small form factor and solid construction. According to Halcyon, availability is expected in late spring or early summer 2026.

TriSense is intended as part of the company’s Symbios ecosystem, allowing divers and fill stations to analyse gas mixtures and integrate the results into a broader workflow for dive preparation. The device measures three critical gases in a single instrument, enabling divers to verify oxygen and helium content while also screening for carbon monoxide contamination.

Connectivity features allow the analyser to communicate with compatible equipment via Bluetooth, including portable label printers used to mark analysed cylinders. The unit can also store detailed gas analysis records on an internal microSD card, with data export available in CSV format for logging or record-keeping.

The analyser is powered via USB-C and includes onboard storage and upgradeable firmware, allowing future feature updates. Its compact, rugged design suggests a focus on field use, whether at dive centres, expedition staging areas or remote fill stations.

Based on early demonstrations, the Symbios TriSense appears to combine multiple gas-analysis functions in a single portable unit aimed at both recreational and technical divers. If the final product performs as demonstrated, it may offer a streamlined solution for verifying breathing gases before a dive.
