Reduced deposits and free trip rescheduling on all Emperor liveaboards

As uncertainty over some flights continues to affect travel planning, Emperor Divers has announced a series of temporary booking measures designed to give divers added reassurance and flexibility when arranging liveaboard trips.

For the month of May, the long-established diving operator has introduced reduced deposits, additional protection for guests affected by airline cancellations, and extended payment terms across all liveaboard destinations.

The changes apply to departures through to the end of October 2026 and are intended to help travellers feel more confident about committing to future dive holidays during a period where flight schedules and travel arrangements can sometimes remain unpredictable.

Under the temporary measures, guests can secure a liveaboard booking with a deposit of just £100/$100/€100 per person (depending on their preferred currency), while final balances are now due 60 days before departure across all their locations.

Emperor Divers has also confirmed that if an airline cancels a guest’s flight, the company will offer a free reschedule within 12 months of the original departure date.

Their No Hidden Extras policy also remains in place, meaning marine park fees, port fees, fuel surcharges and Nitrox are already included in the upfront cost and not added at a later date.

Emperor CEO, Alex Bryant, said: “We know that, for some travellers, uncertainty around flights and wider travel arrangements can make booking feel like a bigger commitment than it used to.

“These temporary measures are simply about giving guests a little more reassurance, while still allowing them to plan something special for later in the year.”

The flexible booking terms are available on all new liveaboard bookings made between 1 May and 31 May 2026 for departures up to 31 October 2026, covering itineraries across the Red Sea, Maldives, Indonesia and the Solomon Islands.
