The award-winning COSMIQ Dive Computer and the Deepblu social network for divers receive major functional updates extending functionality and improving user experience.

TAIPEI, 18 April 2017 – This week is exactly one year since Deepblu, Inc. announced the release of its COSMIQ, the most stylish dive computer on the market for scuba divers and freedivers. COSMIQ and its younger brother COSMIQ+ quickly received critical acclaim and its clarity, rechargeable battery and attractive design continued to rake in praise.

Deepblu, Inc. is now announcing the release of the COSMIQ Anniversary Update, which not only brings exciting new functionality to the Dive Computer, but also to Deepblu, its fast-growing social network for divers and ocean enthusiasts. The iOS, Android and web applications all receive a major overhaul that will improve the experience of its users.

For the COSMIQ Dive Computer, a new pre-dive screen will help divers verify their settings and a power-saving mode extends the autonomy of the COSMIQ to up to 12 hours per charge. Freedivers will also welcome the adjustable backlight brightness, which allows them to feel even more one with the ocean than before.

“We find it extremely important to continue supporting our users, new and old with the latest technology and features,” says Brad Chen, who heads the hardware department at Deepblu, Inc. “This update is proof of our continued commitment to our growing community.”

Deepblu, Inc. also remains committed to providing the best social experience. Deepblu divers wishing to dazzle their friends on Facebook, Twitter or other social platforms with their dives will be excited to see a beautiful dive summary image of their dive log that incorporates their photography as well as dive stats.

“The beauty of software is that we can constantly bring new functionality to our users. This is already the fourth improvement to our iOS, Android and web applications this year,” says James Tsuei, CEO of Deepblu, Inc. “And of course, we have a bunch of exciting new features in the pipeline.”
