Citizen AquaLand 40th limited edition
Commemorative depth‑meter watch marking 40 years since the first electronic Aqualand
The Citizen Promaster Aqualand 40th Anniversary is a limited-edition tribute to the original 1985 Aqualand, celebrating four decades since the world’s first diver’s watch with an electronic depth sensor and dive computer. Limited to 5,800 pieces, the stainless-steel case measures approximately 50.7 mm by 14.8 mm, with a grey matte finish and gold-tone accents, recalling the aesthetic of the original model while offering modern wearability.
This watch records depth, dive time and ascent rate, with audible alerts for excessive ascent speed. Functional features include a one-way rotating bezel, screw-down crown positioned at 4 o’clock, three-pusher controls, and a bulbous depth-sensor at 9 o’clock—all faithful to the design of the original Aqualand Quartz Calibre C520 offers accuracy within ±20 seconds per month and ISO-compliant water resistance to 200 metres.
The strap is made from plant-based polyurethane (BENEBiOL), chosen for moisture resistance and sustainability. The case back is engraved with a logo inspired by the depth-sensor crown. Built for dive professionals and collectors, it meets diver needs for reliable performance, clear readability and durability—while honouring the heritage of the first Aqualand.
