Buddy Dive on Dominica celebrates 2nd Anniversary!

Posted in:

On August 1st, 2017, it has been 2 years since Buddy Dive on Dominica opened its doors. To celebrate this milestone Buddy Dive launches a Birthday Special, so everyone can come and experience the beauty of Dominica!

It all started late 2014 with signing the partnership agreed between Buddy Dive and the Fort Young Hotel followed by the official opening of the Dive operation on August 1, 2015.

“2 years ago we started with 3 staff members and 1 boat and now 2 years later we have grown into a full service dive operation with 3 boats and 11 staff members. We have been able to show a lot of divers the untouched and stunning beauty of Dominica both underwater and topside and we hope to do that for many more years!”, Niels Noteboom, Operations Manager says.

Buddy Dive on Dominica brought a new spectrum of diving to the island by hosting the first Kids Sea Camp in spring this year and most recently Ned & Anna Deloach – authors of the Reef Fish Identification and Behavior Books – visited Dominica to dive with guests and teach all about Marine Life.

About Dominica
In a region saturated by tourism, Dominica remains one of the hidden gems of the Caribbean. Known as the “Nature Island’ due to its abundance of natural splendors: 365 rivers, the second largest boiling lake in the world, volcanoes, mountains, waterfalls, hot springs, and black and white sand beaches. Much of the island is protected under national parks, one of which has been given UNESCO World Heritage status.
Regarded as one of the top dive destinations in the Caribbean, Dominica is a paradise for explorers and adventurers, both above ground and underwater. Champagne reef and Scott’s Head drop off are just a couple of the many underwater highlights for divers.
