A Rare December Opening: Last Cabin for Maluku, Banda & Raja Ampat | 9-20 Dec 2026

Received from: The Arenui
A journey of extraordinary contrasts

A cabin has opened on our 9–20 December 2026 Maluku–Banda–Raja Ampat expedition — a rare invitation to experience three remarkable regions in one voyage.

From the curious creatures of Ambon to the historic Spice Islands and the dazzling reefs of Raja Ampat, each new horizon brings a different world. Your home along the way? Arenui, the boutique liveaboard.

LAST CABIN AVAILABLE - Dayak Deluxe Cabin

Your private retreat for 11 unforgettable nights. At approximately 225 sq ft (21 m²), Dayak pairs the warmth of Indonesian craftsmanship with the comfort of a boutique hotel: a king-size bed, a separate sofa and lounge area, and three large portholes.

Handicrafts and textiles from Kalimantan and West Papua give the cabin its distinctive character, while a private en-suite bathroom, individual air conditioning, minibar and safe make it easy to settle in and feel at home.

Begin with the small wonders

Look a little closer. Ambon’s famous macro life rewards patience with extraordinary discoveries: frogfish, nudibranchs, ghost pipefish, octopus and Rhinopias may be hiding in plain sight.

An unforgettable beginning for photographers, curious divers and anyone who loves the unexpected.

The islands that once enchanted the world

Sail into the legendary Spice Islands, where volcanic landscapes rise above deep blue water and coral-covered slopes give way to dramatic walls.

Between dives, discover another side of Banda: Banda Neira, Fort Belgica and nutmeg plantations. Nature, history and island life come together in a place that feels wonderfully far away.

“Too Many Fish” says it all.

At Koon, the dive site’s name captures the feeling perfectly. Snapper, barracuda, batfish and fusiliers gather around a beautiful reef descending into the blue.

Pause. Look around. Let the spectacle unfold. Then continue north towards Raja Ampat.

Welcome to Misool

Colorful soft corals. Huge sea fans. Marine life everywhere you look. Misool is a place to slow down and take it all in.

We may explore areas such as Boo, Fiabecet, Wayilbatan and Daram, searching for pygmy seahorses, wobbegongs, reef sharks, turtles and great schools of fish. Every dive offers its own discoveries.

The view is just as beautiful above the surface

Leave your dive gear behind for a while and climb to Penemu’s celebrated viewpoint: blue lagoons, limestone islands and a panorama you will remember long after the journey ends.

Then return to the rich waters of the Dampier Strait. Sites such as Cape Kri and Blue Magic promise another chapter of reef life, schooling fish and the possibility of manta encounters.

The pleasure between the dives

Return from the reef to freshly prepared meals, warm hospitality and space to simply unwind. Share stories over dinner, stretch out on deck and watch another Indonesian sunset.

Great diving. Beautiful surroundings. Wonderful food. With Arenui’s intimate boutique setting and dedicated crew, the time between dives is part of the adventure.

Your December adventure could start here.

If these islands have been on your wish list, we would love to help you join us.
